About Me

My Photo
I joined Particraft as a demonstrator in April 2008 and am also an independent demonstrator for Creative Expressions. I have a passion for cardmaking and have been teaching at workshops for the past 5 years including on cruise ships. There is nothing to compare with the thrill of seeing someone complete a project after they have told you that they haven't an artistic bone in their body! It's a great hobby that anyone of any age can enjoy. I'm married to Steve who almost understands my addiction to craft as he's addicted to his guitars. Between us, we have 4 grown up children and 3 grandchildren. I run workshops at my home and am also starting a craft club in September 2010. If anyone would like details of the workshops please e-mail me at stephen.smith870@ntlworld.com

WOYWW

Here we are again with another weekly round up of what's on each others workspaces. I do love this, it's a great chance to have a mosey around the world and see some fantastic artwork.
If I didn't get to your blog last week I apologise (again!) and will try harder this week. If there's anyone reading this that hasn't taken part yet, you should give it a go!
Anyway, onto my desk which looks as though a bomb has hit it. As you can see, I'm a very fickle person and still can't decide between Copics and Promarkers so of course had to have some of each! There's my Yummy Mummy mug which was a pressy from my daughter a couple of years ago and apart from making me smile, it holds a serious amount of caffeine!
The reason for the mess is that I was in the middle of putting 40 packs together for a workshop on the cruise but before I can start sorting them out, I have to "test drive" each project to make sure that they can be done by a beginner in under an hour. That means that I have to stamp every image for them and cut everything to size. This is the 20th project which means that I have put 800 packs together now...only another 320 to go!!! Still, while I'm cruising up the Amazon I'm sure that it'll be all worth while!
I went back and took another
piccie of the finished project and here Ethel is, in all her glory!
I just love that sentiment! The stamps are all from Particraft and there's free p&p if anyone is interested in getting their hands on them! Just got to cut everything to size for the passengers now and put all the bits into individual bags!
On other news, if anyone is in the Cliftonville/Margate area on October 23rd, I'll be demoing Creative Expressions stamps at Martell Press for the whole day so do pop along and say hi. The craft club meets again this evening and we'll be getting down and dirty with some Distress Inks!
Don't forget the blog candy draw takes place at 5am on October 8th so there's still time to enter. You'll find it under older postings. Sue Wilson is slowly getting to her next target to draw her fantastic blog candy and it is an amazing selection of goodies. Pop over to the Particraft blog for a look if you haven't found your way there yet.
Think that's all...this is just delaying going back to the cabin to start chopping and stamping! So until next time...........keep crafting!!!!

Ooooh I daresnt try copics as I know I will be as addicted to them as I am promarkers - I also keep some of my promarkers in the same suitcase as you too! (when I am not using them so that I can store them lying down as I am still not sure whether I should do that or not!). Enjoy packing all those bags - thats the part I enjoy when preparing my classes much to my partners amusement! Thanks for sharing - Sunshine Girl (28)

What an awesome amount of kits you do - I'm amazed you get anything done for yourself. Great space to work in though.

Your works space looks neat and tidy compared to mine. Of course my space it so tiny it doesn't take much to mess it up. Love the card and the sentiment is a hoot.

I love the "Yummy Mummy" mug. Too funny. And your card is darling too. Since I don't own either copics or PMs, I will let you choose which are the better deal. Thanks for stopping by my space and glad you liked the bigger pics, even if I put you in fairyland!

Hi Pam, thanks for your visit. Not "official" copic storage in the background of my blog. In fact it is storage I made for my promarkers as I couldn't find what I needed anywhere.
