About Me

My Photo
I joined Particraft as a demonstrator in April 2008 and am also an independent demonstrator for Creative Expressions. I have a passion for cardmaking and have been teaching at workshops for the past 5 years including on cruise ships. There is nothing to compare with the thrill of seeing someone complete a project after they have told you that they haven't an artistic bone in their body! It's a great hobby that anyone of any age can enjoy. I'm married to Steve who almost understands my addiction to craft as he's addicted to his guitars. Between us, we have 4 grown up children and 3 grandchildren. I run workshops at my home and am also starting a craft club in September 2010. If anyone would like details of the workshops please e-mail me at stephen.smith870@ntlworld.com

WOYWW

Morning All.....happy WOYWW. For anyone that hasn't heard of it Wednesday is the day that we can have a look around other people's workspaces. If you'd like to join in I have a link on my sidebar. Many thanks to everyone that visited and left comments on here last week. I managed to get around 90 blogs and apologise if yours was one I missed.
This is my stamping and general heat things up area including the kettle which is a vital part of my crafting....no caffeine, no mojo!
I'm working on some samples for the demo later this month using Cosmic Shimmer Fibres and Films. The card in the background is one that my grandson is making. Bailey is 10 and has just discovered the joys of heat embossing. He's getting quite experimental and mixing all the powders on the stamped images. Move over Tim Holtz...there's a new kid in town!!!! Well, I can dream, can't I ?
This is one of the cards that we'll be making on the cruise in January.
The stamps are from the Sundae and Cup Cake sets from Particraft. I'd forgotten they were in the drawer so I was pleased to find them as they were just right for this project. Mind you, after stamping both images out 40 times and then running the message through the Sissix with a Nestie 40 times, I think they can go back in the drawer for a while!!!
The new candy will be on here in the next couple of days...promise! In the meantime, don't forget that Sue has some amazing candy on her Particraft blog. So until next time....keep crafting!!!

Great card. Does the cruise line pay for you to teach others to stamp? Thanks for the peek.

I have to admit that a dozen of something is more than plenty. I'm not sure if I could do 40 of the same thing, certainly not in any hurry.

I love the idea of crafting on a cruise, lucky you! I'm definitely with you on the 'no caffeine no mojo', although my DH would argue that I drink far too much of the stuff! :D

Super workspace, and a beautiful card. How lucky are you -crafting and cruising at the same time - WOW!!
I also ran classes, for 10 years, so I know what you mean about having to do a lot of preparation! Great fun though, and a fabulous feeling to share your crafting passion with others.
