About Me

My photo
Hi, I'm Pam and thank you for visiting my blog. I have been making cards for over 10 years and am an independent demonstrator for Creative Expressions. I am lucky enough to teach on cruise ships and also get the chance to demo at The Big Stamping and Scrapbooking Show at Alexander Palace. I run workshops for a local craft shop and if anyone would like details of the them please e-mail me at stephen.smith870@ntlworld.com I love to scrapbook but my all time favourite thing is to get messy with ink!

WOYWW

Good Morning All, Happy WOYWW.

Another week has flown by with lots of crafting and a wedding.
Anyway, to get things underway, here is a picture of my desk as it looks right now.

Lots more packs being prepped for the cruise, Spirelli this time.  It used to be very popular but has fallen out of fashion.  The people I teach on the ships seem to love it so I still keep it in the lessons.  Other than that, there's a basket of chipboard shapes, wooden shapes and small canvases all ready to decorate, a basket with some masks and a couple of small boxes containing odds and ends.
Fairly boring but quite tidy for a change!

I've been making a project for the Sam Poole Creative Studios DT blog.  It's on there today (link is on the right) with step by step instructions if you want to take a look.  The new Up, Up and Away stamps are gorgeous and I can't stop playing with them!

And finally, the wedding which happened on Monday.  My stepson married his gorgeous fiancĂ©e Claire.  The whole day was just perfect and the sun shone.  Everyone had a great time and here's the happy couple.

Claire made all of the table decorations, buttonholes and her bouquet from buttons.  It was months of hard work for her, but they looked amazing.

Well, that's it for now.  We're off on an archaeological dig on Sunday near Stonehenge for a couple of days.  I'm hoping that the rain holds off for that!  We've been before and the feeling of finding tools that are 8000 years old and haven't been touched since they were left there by their owners is one I can't describe.  So until next time, many thanks for visiting and leaving comments, they are all so kind and much appreciated.  Only 20 more followers before the Blog Candy Draw!  Happy Crafting!

I've said it before, Pam and I'll say it again - what an interesting life you lead! I haven't been to a wedding for years. The bride looks so radiant in this photo and the groom so handsome! My daughter is planning lots of globe-trotting for next year so I don't think I'll be attending hers in the near future. I always love the idea of you teaching craft on a cruise! I haven't a clue what Spirelli is - sounds like a member of the Mob! Maybe - if you have a minute - you could enlighten me! Have a great week! Julie Ann xx #38

What a fabulous place to teach crafting!!!! I love to see packs all ready to go for a class or workshop. I have just packed mine away for Friday - I am surprisingly ahead of myself this week!!! I am curious to know how the cruise thing works - do you have a set number of classes to teach over the period of the cruise? How do you know how many packs you need? Intriguing!!!! Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 42

What a fab pic of the happy couple! They both look so great..the bouquet is fab, I love it because its so different!
Hope you have fun at the dig..I live about 30 mins away from Stonehenge and, as I have an Archaeology degree, know it well. Are you doing the dig for English Heritage or the National Trust?
If you're going past Burbage, you're welcome to have a cuppa!

When do you go on the cruise Pam, and more importantly, where are you going? Never tried spirelli but I have seen it done before. Love the project and the wedding photo, both lovely. The dig sounds like a fascinating thing to do too!

Congratulations on the wedding!
And brrr... me and boats don't go well together. Hmm no, that's not it. Me and waves, ground that moves don't go well together, I'm quite sensitive to that. Or was. Haven't really tried it out for a few years now.
But to go teaching on a cruise... you can't call home and say you forgot something, and ask if they'll bring it over! That means very careful planning and packing.
Enjoy your trip :)

Claire's button bouquet looks amazing!! What a delight to add another crafty person to the family!

Love the hot air balloon card!! Sensational design!

Good luck with your upcoming dig. My dad at 84 still goes out every Friday with the local group. Some of the stone tools they have found date back 8000 years.

Hi Pam,
Thanks for visiting me and sorry for the delay in getting back.
I love your well ordered desk, looks as if the folks on the cruise will have lots of fun. No one offered craft on the cruises we have been on.
Love the wedding pics too, looks as if it was a lovely day.

Sorry to be such a late visitor this week, internet problems. Anyway made it at last.
Congrats to your Stepson and his new wife, they looks so happy. I'm glad the day went perfectly.
Spirelli always seems to fascinate people doesn't it, always reminds me of those string pictures we made in the 1970's!!
Thanks for visiting already. Our porch roof started to collapse hours before we flew off on holiday so had to have an emergency prop made out of the remains of my DD's bed!! It's still standing 2 months later although is being replaced next week!!
