About Me

Hi, I'm Pam and thank you for visiting my blog. I have been making cards for over 10 years and am an independent demonstrator for Creative Expressions. I am lucky enough to teach on cruise ships and also get the chance to demo at The Big Stamping and Scrapbooking Show at Alexander Palace. I run workshops for a local craft shop and if anyone would like details of the them please e-mail me at stephen.smith870@ntlworld.com I love to scrapbook but my all time favourite thing is to get messy with ink!

Best Friend

Good Morning All and a very Happy Tuesday!

I'm really enjoying playing with the new Singles Stamps from Creative Expressions.  I've always loved silhouette stamps because you can do so much with the background.

So, without further ado, let's get started on this weeks project......

Go to a DIY store and pick up some of the paint charts!

Stick 2 of the paint charts onto a piece of card.

Cut off the excess.

Ink up "Best Friend" with Black Archival and stamp onto the paint chart.
Trim to size.
Matt and layer onto Black Foundations Card.

Dry emboss a piece of white card using the Creative Expressions A4 Rambling Blossoms Folder.
Matt and layer onto black card.
Heat up a length of Silky Crush Black Ribbon and attach it to the embossed piece of card.
Heating the ribbon makes it shrivel and gives a totally different effect.

Place the stamped image onto the background with 3d foam pads.
Stamp the sentiment with Black Archival Ink onto white card.
Matt and layer onto black card.
Stick onto the card with 3d pads.

Heat another length of the ribbon and tie into a bow.  Glue into position.

Die cut Delicate Daisies Complete Petals from white card and Delicate Daisies Open Petals from black card.
Layer up and glue into position.

Add Dazzlers to the flower centres and the bow to finish.

And there's the finished card.  I hope you like it.

I really enjoy looking round for free things to use and these paint charts are fantastic...there are so many colour ways!

Well, that's it for now.  I'll be back next week with another way of using the silhouette stamps.

Many thanks for visiting and leaving comments.

Until next time, have a happy, crafty week!

Good morning Pam, oh what a great tip, I love the background you have made, it's stunning, as it makes the silhouette really pop. I have never tried a silhouette stamp to my knowledge but will have to buy on just to have a go. Thank you. X Ros
