Good Morning All and a very Happy Thursday!

Another Christmas project for Creative Expressions but very different from all the previous ones.

I'll be filming at Warwick Folk Festival while you're reading this!!

Anyway, let's get started.....

Cut a square of Coconut White card slightly larger than needed.  Stick a square of Creative Expressions Double Sided Adhesive over it.  It's much easier if the card is a bit bigger!
Rub an anti-static bag over "That Special Touch-Icicles Mask" then place it onto the double sided adhesive.  The anti static will help when you want to lift it off.

Apply Cosmic Shimmer Periwinkle Polished Silk Glitter to the adhesive.  Press down to make sure it holds then tap off any excess.

Remove the mask and apply Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Snow Glitter Jewels to the remaining area.
Trim the excess card off.  Matt and layer with Foundations Vintage Silver Card.

Emboss a piece of Coconut White card with the A4 Snowflake Lattice Folder.
Matt and layer onto the Vintage Silver card.
Stick the glittered square on top.

Ink up the sentiment from the A5 Pine Cone Christmas set with Black Archival.  Stamp onto Coconut White and heat emboss with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Powder.
Cut out with the Frames and Tags-Pierced Flags Dies.
Draw around the outer edge of the die onto the Vintage Silver card to make a matt.  Glue into position after shaping it.

Cut out the Illuminated Christmas Tree Die using the Vintage Silver card and glue into position.

Tie a triple bow from white Seam Binding.  Glue on then add a Silver Dazzler to finish.

And there's the finished card!

Hope you like it.  It's so easy to make but looks so effective....my favourite sort of Christmas Card!

Navy and White

Good Morning All and a very Happy Tuesday!  I hope you all had a great Bank Holiday weekend...I know we did!  We were in Huddersfield at the Grand Northern Ukulele Festival...yes, I'm a ukulele player!

Well, I'd better get on with this weeks card.....

Using the Cosmic Shimmer Decadent Denim Spray Mist, spray through the small dot mask onto Coconut White card.
Dry thoroughly.

Turn over and emboss with the A4 Fine Filials Folder.

Stamp the message from the Decadent Damask Birthday Verses and cut to size.
Use this as a template to cut diagonally onto the dotty card.
Fold back the 4 triangles.

Cut the card to size, then using a pencil (or similar) curl the four triangles and glue the tips down.

Stamp the sentiment again onto a piece of card that is larger than the aperture with Black Archival Ink and emboss with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Powder.
Glue into position behind the aperture.
Matt and layer onto Foundations French Navy Card before gluing onto a blank 8x8 card.

 Die cut some Leaves from the Faux Quilled Leaves Set using the French Navy Card. Cut some flowers from the Camellia Open Petal Dies using French Navy Card and Closed Flower Dies using Coconut White Card.  Glue the flowers together.

Place the leaves and flowers onto the card and glue into position.  Add some 5mm and 8mm pearls to the flower centres and the 4 points of the triangles.  Add 3mm pearls to the leaves.  on the wording I've used the the Mini Swirls.
I've also used 2 of the white flowers with some Cosmic Shimmer Decadent Denim PVA Glue in the centres.

And that's the card finished!

Everything used for this card is from Creative Expressions.

Top Hat and Tails.

Good Morning all and a Very Happy Tuesday!

Another project this week using products from Creative Expressions.  I always love it when I get new stamps from them to play with and the new dance stamps are no exception.

I've made a wall hanging for this weeks project as I wanted to make a little Xmas gift for a friend...here's hoping she likes it!

Anyway, let's get started......

Cover a Pronty Wall Plaque with Couture Creations 12x12 Damask Paper.  Paint around the edges with Black Soot Distress Paint.
Place the Sunrise Mask over the top half of the plaque.  Dab through the mask with Flake and Glitter Glue.
Remove the mask then apply Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Lights Gilding Flakes.
Dab the glue around the edges of the plaque then apply more of the Gilding Flakes.

Ink up the "Top Hat and Tails" Singles Stamp with Black Archival Ink and stamp 5 times onto Coconut White Card.  Heat emboss with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Powder.
Die cut the stamped images with Spellbinders 8 Labels.
Position them so that the image is cut with an even border each time but getting progressively smaller.

I hope that the picture explains what I mean!
Draw around the largest die used onto Black Card then cut out.  Glue the largest of the dancers images onto the black card, then build up the layers using 3d foam pads.

Ink up the sentiment from the A5 "Step by Step" Stamp Set with Black Archival.  Heat emboss with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Powder.
Cut out with the Spellbinders Standard Circles Small Dies.
Draw around the outer edge of the die on black card then cut out as a matt.

Glue the dancer and sentiment onto the plaque.
Add Black Seam Binding as a hanger.

And that's the finished project...hope you like it!

Julia Watts has done such a good job using these stamps that I wanted to do something very different with them.  Do go to her blog and take a look, there are some gorgeous cards using the dance stamps.

Black and Gold

Good Morning All and a very Happy Tuesday!

Well, this is the last July DT piece for Creative Expressions using the gorgeous Masks I was sent to play with so I thought I'd come up with a real "classy" number!

Anyway, here goes.......

Cover a piece of Teresa Collins paper with Creative Expressions Double Sided Adhesive.

Apply Perfect Medium to the mask to help it release and apply Micro Beads.

Remove the mask and sprinkle Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Crystal Sparkle Emboss Powder over the paper and heat carefully.

Cut out with Spellbinders Grand Circle Dies.  Matt and layer with Teresa Collins Paper cut with the Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles.

Emboss a piece of Coconut White card using the Creative Expressions A4 Heart Lattice Folder.
Matt and layer with black card and the same paper as the main design.  Add a length of Black Crushed Satin Ribbon.

Use 3d foam pads to attach the circle to the card.

Make "faux" pearls around the edges with Cosmic Shimmer Golden Pearl Coloured Pearlescent PVA Glue.

 

Using Black Card, die cut the Faux Quilled Blooms and the D-Lites Fantastic Flourish 1.  Cut the flourish into smaller sections and glue to the card.  Glue the flowers into place and add the Coloured PVA Glue to the flower centres.

 

 

And there's the finished card!

Thinking of You

Good Morning, it's Tuesday and I'm back with another project for Creative Expressions using the Decorative Elements Mask.

Well, we'd better get started!

Spray a piece of Coconut White Card with Cosmic Shimmer Purple Orchid Vintage Ink Spray Mist.
Dry, then spray again with Cosmic Shimmer Antique Rose Vintage Mist.  Dry.
Distress the edges with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.
Place the Decorative Elements Mask over the card and apply Cosmic Shimmer Vivid Violet Sparkle Texture Paste to one corner.  Remove the mask and leave to dry.  Repeat on the opposite corner.

Replace the mask on the two opposite corners and stencil through with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.

Ink up the Baroque Frame Singles Stamp with Black Archival Ink and stamp onto a piece of Coconut White Card.
Heat emboss.
Spray some of the Cosmic Shimmer Mist Sprays that were used on the background onto a craft sheet and paint the stamped image with them.

Stamp the sentiment with Black Archival Ink and heat emboss with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Powder.
Die cut with the Spellbinders Italian Collection Decorative Frames.

Edge the background with black ink.  Matt and layer onto white and black card.

Attach the stamped images with 3d foam pads.

Make some 3d roses from white card.  Apply some of the Vivid Violet Sparkle Texture Paste to them with a cotton bud.
Die cut leaves from the Spellbinders Foliage Die Set.
Glue the leaves and flowers onto the card.

I admit to having a problem with the Texture Paste.  It's not that it's difficult to use, it's just that I'm an impatient soul with the attention span of a gnat.  I just wish it wasn't so pretty, then I could put it away and forget about it!

I did like painting the roses with it and a cotton bud makes a great applicator!

Just a Note!

Good Morning All, it's Tuesday so it's Creative Expressions Blog Day!  Hope you all had a great week.

The Design Team were sent some Masks to play with this month and it's been terrific fun trying to come up with new ways of "playing" with them!

This week I've gone for Distress Inks.  Anyway, enough chat, let's get on with it!

Place the mask over a piece of Coconut White Card.  Ink through the flower head parts of the mask with Cut 'n Dry Foam using Squeezed Lemonade, Barn Door and Rusty Hinge Distress Inks.  Move the mask around to put the flowers where you want them.  Add in some of the leaves.
Distress the edges with Rusty Hinge.

Matt and layer onto white and orange card.

Using orange card, cut out Spellbinders D-Lites Medallion 2.
Stamp "Just a Note" with Black Archival ink onto Coconut White Card and heat emboss with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Powder.
Use a Spellbinders die to cut out.  Leave the die in place and distress with Rusty Hinge Ink.
Attach to the Medallion with 3d foam pads.

Attach to the background card with pads.

Using Coconut White card, die cut flowers from the Spellbinders Finishing Touches Faux Quilled Flowers and leaves from the Faux Quilled Leaves sets.  Cut the leaves to make smaller pieces.  Glue to the card with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.
Add a few of the flowers with 3d foam pads.
Add some Creative Expressions 8mm faux pearls to the flower centres to finish.

And there's the finished project!

It's the same mask that I used last week but looks completely different.

Blooming Lovely!

Good Morning All and welcome to Tuesday's Creative Expressions project.

This month, I've been sent some new masks to play with and here's a card I've made using the mask called "Bloom".

So let's get started...........

Stick a piece double sided adhesive onto some white card and peel off the top layer.
Use an anti-static bag on the mask to help with the release and place on top of the adhesive sheet.
Using a small spoon, add each colour of Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitters at a time.
I've used Fire Red, Penny Copper, Sahara Gold and Sea Green.

Remove the mask.  Add Cosmic Shimmer Ebony Ice Glitter Jewels to the rest of the double sided adhesive.

Cut out using Spellbinders Grand Circle Dies.
Draw around the outer edge of the die on white card, cut out and matt and layer.

Emboss a piece of white card with the Creative Expressions A4 Art Deco Fanfare Folder.

Matt and layer onto a piece of Foundations Black Card.

Cut a length of Black Crushed Satin Ribbon and heat with a heat gun to crinkle it.  Attach to the card.

Cut a Scalloped Circle in Black Card from Spellbinders Grand Dies.  Matt and layer the glittered topper.
Attach to the card with 3d foam pads.

Cut another length of the Black Ribbon.  Heat again with the heat tool.
Tie a bow and attach to the card with a glue dot.
Add a Black Dazzler to the centre of the bow to finish.

And there's the finished card!

It's very different from my usual style....no ink for a start!
I even managed to stay clean making this one!!  I did look as though I was headed out to a disco with all the glitter I managed to get on myself!

A Father's Day Project

Good Morning All and Happy Wednesday.

Today is my turn to blog for the Creative Studios Design Team so I thought I'd show a Father's Day card using the new Singles stamps.

This one has used the Lighthouse stamp which comes with the sentiment...good value for money!

I've also used the Net Mask and the anchor has been cut out using Spellbinders Nautical Accents Dies.

I've used the waste from that to create a mask for the anchor in the background.

I've posted a full step by step over at Creative Studios so I won't repeat it all on here.  Please do pop over there and take a look.  The rest of the Design Team have done an amazing job with all the projects they've come up with using these lovely Nautical stamps.

Springtime Wall Hanging

Good Morning All and a very Happy Tuesday.  I'm back with another project for the Creative Expressions Design Team using the beautiful Tulip Spray stamps and the Earthenware Vase Stamp.

To start, paint the Pronty Heart with 2 coats of Cosmic Shimmer Warm White Matt Chalk Paint.  Go over with 1 coat of the Cosmic Shimmer Pearl Shimmer Paint.

Place the Doodle Crosses Mask over and dab Barn Door Distress Ink through the mask.  Remove mask and heat emboss with clear powder.

Stamp the Vase and the Tulips with Black Archival Ink onto Coconut White Card.  Paint with Fired Brick, Barn Door and Mustard Seed Distress Inks.

Paint the leaves with Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Distress Inks.  Cut out and chop the stems down on the flowers.

Stamp the Tulips around the edge of the heart with Black Archival Ink and paint with the same inks.  Blot to dry.

Shape the Vase and stick onto the heart with 3d pads in the centre and glue around the edges.  Arrange the flowers and use glue and 3d pads to stick them in place.

Use a Crop-a-dile to make holes to attach a wire hanger.
Paint around the edge of the heart with Black Soot Distress Paint.
Make the hanger from 3 strands of gold jewellery wire.
Tie small strips of co-ordinating seam binding to the wire.

And there's the finished project.  The white blob you can see where the ribbon is, is a map pin to hang it up to take a picture!

Everything I've used is from Creative Expressions except for the jewellery wire and Crop-a-dile.

I've loved using the Tulip Stamps, they are stunning and look gorgeous in different colours.  They're also really easy to cut out which is always a blessing!

Bright and Cheerful

Good Morning All, hope you had a great Bank Holiday.  For once we were lucky with the weather which is why I thought I'd make a really cheerful, colourful card to celebrate Spring!

I've used one of the new Singles range of stamps from Creative Expressions for this one.  There are 2 stamps in the pack and it's called "Tulip Spray".  Anyway, here goes with the step by step....

Stamp the triple stem tulip around the edge of the blank card with Black Archival Ink.
Paint the leaves with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink and the flower heads with Picked Raspberry.

Cut some Heather, Raspberry and Coconut White Foundations cardstock to size.  Using the piece of Coconut White, dab some Shabby Shutters Distress Ink through the Leaves Mask.  Emboss using the Couture Creations Hyper Magical Folder.  Matt and layer.

Using both of the flowers in the set, stamp them onto Coconut White Card with Black Archival Ink.  Paint using the same Distress Inks as before.  Cut them out and arrange them on the card.  Glue the bottom layer into place with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue and add the rest with 3d foam pads.

Tie a triple bow with white seam binding.  Spritz with water and scrumple up.  Dry with a heat gun.  Very gently, apply Picked Raspberry Ink.  Glue into place and add a Dazzler to the centre.

Stamp the "Happy Birthday" sentiment which comes in the Earthenware Vase set onto Coconut White Card.  To do this, mask off one word at a time so that you can stamp Birthday under the Happy.

Die cut the sentiment using Spellbinder Labels H Dies.  With the die still in place, apply Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.
Draw around the outer edge of the die onto Raspberry Card and cut out.  Matt and layer.  Use 3d foam pads to stick it on the card.
To finish, apply some Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Sparkle Texture Paste to the flowers using a cotton bud.

And here's the finished project!  Something that would brighten anyone's day!

Well, I promised a photo of the new storage in my studio and this time, I'm determined to keep it tidy!!

I'm hoping I can find a group for addicts of paper, card and ribbon as I appear to have a serious problem!  I'm too ashamed to show the unit with all the ribbons in and I managed to cut off most of the bottom row on this photo that has my "good" papers housed in it!

Loving Texture Paste!

Good Morning All and a very Happy Tuesday.

I have been having a lot of fun this week with the new Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Texture Paste and Spray Misters.

This card was a lot of fun to make and I think I'd quite like wallpaper that looks like the background!  Anyway, enough rambling, let's get on with the project.

Spritz Aqua Breeze and Evergreen Cosmic Shimmer Vintage Ink Spray Misters onto Coconut White Card.
Lay the Damask Mask over the top and tape it into place.
Spread the Cosmic Shimmer Midnight Sparkle Texture Paste over.  Carefully lift the mask off.  Leave to dry.

Matt and layer onto Coconut White and Foundations Black Cardstock.

Using a Piercing Ruler, pierce around the edge of an 8x8 blank card.  Glue the prepared background into place.
Add 3mm and 5mm Black Self Adhesive Pearls around the edge of the card.

Spray a square of Coconut White card with the same inks as before.  Stamp a sentiment with Black Archival Ink and heat emboss with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Powder.  Stamp the Bee from the Botanical Spray Singles Stamps and heat emboss.  Matt an layer onto Black and White Card.
Mount onto the card with 3d foam pads.

Tie a triple bow with Black Seam Binding and glue onto the card.
Use Spellbinder Spiral Blossom 3 Die to cut a flower from Black Card.  Make the flower up and glue into place on top of the bow.

And there is the finished card!
