Today's make is with Mothering Sunday in mind. I've deliberately left Mother's Day off as sometimes we might want to send a card to someone who has been like a mother to us.
Anyway, let's get started....
Ink up the Singles "Born Free" stamp with French Ultramarine Archival. Stamp onto a piece of Coconut White card.
Cut out using the Californian Collection Basic Frames Set A Dies.
Cut a matt from Foundations Sky Blue card using the Californian Collection Decorative Frames Set B.
Matt and layer with 3d foam pads.
Dry emboss a piece of Coconut White card using the Couture Creations Large Circles Folder.
Matt and layer onto the Sky Blue Card.
Attach a strip of Pale Blue Seam Binding.
Glue the stamped image into position with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.
Stamp the sentiment using French Ultramarine Archival Ink and cut out with the Californian Collection Set A dies.
Cut out a matt using the Set B dies from Sky Blue Card.
Matt and layer with 3d foam pads.
Die cut some Petite Vinery sprays and glue into position. Glue the sentiment in place.
Tie a bow using the seam binding and glue into place.
And there's the finished card!
I'm not sure why the 2nd picture looks pink!!!
Everything used has come from Creative Expressions.

It's a new month which means it's time to showcase some of the new stamps from Creative Expressions.
For this weeks blog post I've used the Filigree Frame Singles Stamp. So, let's get started!
Stencil through random areas of the "Fleur-de-Lis" Mask with Wild Honey Distress Ink onto Coconut White Card. Stamp small areas of the "Scented Borders" stamp with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink over the top.
Dry emboss using the Creative Expressions A4 Interlocking Circles Folder.
Distress around the edges with Rusty Hinge.
Ink up the Filigree Frame stamp with Black Archival Ink and stamp onto Coconut White Card. Heat emboss with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Powder.
Stamp the centre section again and heat emboss as before.
Trim to size. Paint around the edges of the smaller piece with the same colour Distress Inks as used on the background.
Matt and layer onto Black Foundations Card.
Using the Petite Vinery Dies, cut two leaves from black card.
Colour a piece of Coconut White Card with the Rusty Hinge and Wild Honey Distress Inks. Die cut some Butterflies from the Magical Butterflies Dies.
Glue all of the layers together and add the top layer with 3d foam pads.
Glue the Vinery Leaves and Butterflies into position and add 3mm black pearls to the bodies of the butterflies to finish.
And there's the finished card!
The background technique is one that the lovely Julia Watts uses a lot and I'm a big fan of it (and her!).

There's nothing like a bit of glitter to get you in the mood for Christmas and this weeks card has plenty of that!
So, let's get started with it.....
Cut a piece of card to size and cover it with Double Sided Adhesive. Using a spoon, sprinkle Vintage Violet and Western Blue Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter over the top. Apply one colour at a time and press the glitter down to make sure it stays in place.
Apply Flake and Glitter Glue to the Mosaic Bauble Stamp and stamp onto the glittered card. Apply Cosmic Shimmer Silver Moon Gilding Flakes.
Trim to size then matt and layer onto Coconut White Card.
Cut a matt from white card, sick some of the Double Sided Adhesive around the edges and sprinkle the same colour glitters as before. Matt and layer.
Put double sided tape around all 4 edges of a piece of Coconut White Card. Apply the glitters as before.
Cut another piece of Coconut White and emboss using the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Dainty Dots A4 Folder.
Cut a length of White Seam Binding, cover with Flake and Glitter Glue and apply the same colour glitters.
Attach to the embossed piece of card them matt and layer onto the piece with the glittered edges.
Using the sentiment from the A5 Winter Greetings set of stamps, apply Flake and Glitter Glue and stamp onto a piece of Coconut White Card. Sprinkle the glitters as before.
Die cut the sentiment with the Spellbinders Classic Circle Dies.
Cover another piece of card with Double Sided Adhesive and die cut a Scalloped Circle. Cover with the glitters then matt and layer the sentiment.
Attach the Bauble and Sentiment with 3d foam pads.
And that's the finished card!
It's difficult to explain the difference between the Polished Silk Glitters compared to other glitter, you really have to see it and feel it! It is so smooth that you can stamp on it and even stamp with the glue without the glitter coming off.

I'm still playing with the new range of Singles stamps from Creative Expressions and today I'm using the Anemone stamp.
Start by inking up the stamp with Black Archival Ink. Heat emboss with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Powder. Do this 3 times.
Paint with Cosmic Shimmer Drawing Inks in the following colours: Lime Burst, Magenta Flame and Rich Gold.
Water down the Rich Gold to paint the background to the flowers.
Cover one of the stamped images with Creative Expressions Double Sided Adhesive. Apply Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Sprinkles Glitter Jewels.
Matt and layer all 3 panels.
Cut a piece of Coconut White Card for the background and stamp the "Happy Days" sentiment across the bottom with Black Archival Ink.
Dry emboss with the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Dainty Dots Folder.
From a piece of pink card, die cut a strip using the Spellbinders Classic Triple Scallop. Turn the card around and repeat so that it looks like flowers.
Cut a piece of green card to size. Cover with double sided adhesive and apply the Diamond Sprinkles.
Matt and layer then glue onto the white background.
Add the 3 stamped images with 3d foam pads.
And there's the finished card!
I know that a lot of the pink and green strip is covered up but it looks more interesting than a plain border going across. And as they say, "The Devil is in the Detail"!

Today, I've made a card using the Sunflower Singles stamp from Creative Expression. A perfect flower for all of those hot sunny days we've had.
Ink up the Sunflower with Black Archival Ink and stamp onto Coconut White Card.
Paint the flower using Tattered Rose, Peeled Paint and Wild Honey Distress Inks.
Trim to size and cover with Creative Expressions Double Sided Adhesive. Apply Micro Beads.
Emboss a piece of white card using the Creative Expressions A4 Art Deco Fanfare Embossing Folder.
Matt and layer.
Randomly stamp small sections of the A6 Fern Background Stamp onto Coconut White Card using Peeled Paint Distress Ink.
Spritz with water and allow the colour to bleed. Dry thoroughly.
Emboss the card using the same folder as before.
Highlight the raised areas with Wild Honey and Peeled Paint Distress Inks.
Distress the edges with Peeled Paint. Matt and layer onto black card.
Using the Spellbinders Finishing Touches Filigree 3d Bow Die, cut out the strip from White Card. Matt and layer onto black card. Glue onto the background.
Stamp the sentiment using Black Archival Ink.
Die cut with Spellbinders Scalloped Ovals Large Dies. With the die still in place, distress the card.
Cut a larger oval from black card. Matt and layer.
Attach the sentiment and the Sunflower to the card with 3d foam pads.
And there's the finished card!
Don't be alarmed if the background looks a bit messy if you try this technique....it all seems to come together in the end!

I've been sent the most gorgeous new stamps to play with from Creative Expressions (as well as a new Embossing Folder) and I couldn't wait to share this project with you.
The stamps are all in the Singles range and the one I've used for this project is called "Little Fisherman". So let's get started.
Stamp the Little Fisherman with Coffee Archival Ink on Coconut White Cardstock. Paint the image with Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks.
Cut the image out but don't worry about the middles of the fishing rod. Just colour them with a little of the Antique Linen Ink.
Cut some Kraft and Chestnut Foundations Card to size. Using a Grand Nestabilities Big Scalloped Die, cut out 2 oval apertures in different sizes so that there will be a border when the Kraft card is placed over the Chestnut Card.
Ink up the Netting Background Stamp with Coffee Archival and stamp randomly over the Kraft card. Matt and layer the 2 colours of cardstock.
Colour a piece of Coconut White Card with Antique Linen Distress Ink. Emboss with the Couture Creations Lighthouse Folder. Go back over the raised areas very lightly with Frayed Burlap Ink.
Use 3d foam pads to mount the frame over the top. Mount onto the blank card with 3d foam pads.
Glue the Little Fisherman into place. Use 3d pads where the aperture is.
Stamp the sentiment with Coffee Archival Ink onto a piece of Coconut White card that's been distressed with Antique Linen Ink. Cut it into a pennant shape. Matt and layer onto some Chestnut Card. I've used a sentiment from Dandelion Wishes A5 Stamp Set from Creative Expressions.
Shape the pennant and add to the card with glue and 3d pads.
Colour another piece of card with Antique Linen Ink and stamp some Seashells. Cut them out and add some with glue and the top ones with 3d pads. The Shells are from a set called "Voice of the Sea" again from Creative Expressions.
For the finishing touch, tie some knots in a piece of string and glue to the bottom of the card.

Good Morning All, hope you had a great Bank Holiday. For once we were lucky with the weather which is why I thought I'd make a really cheerful, colourful card to celebrate Spring!
I've used one of the new Singles range of stamps from Creative Expressions for this one. There are 2 stamps in the pack and it's called "Tulip Spray". Anyway, here goes with the step by step....
Stamp the triple stem tulip around the edge of the blank card with Black Archival Ink.
Paint the leaves with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink and the flower heads with Picked Raspberry.
Cut some Heather, Raspberry and Coconut White Foundations cardstock to size. Using the piece of Coconut White, dab some Shabby Shutters Distress Ink through the Leaves Mask. Emboss using the Couture Creations Hyper Magical Folder. Matt and layer.
Using both of the flowers in the set, stamp them onto Coconut White Card with Black Archival Ink. Paint using the same Distress Inks as before. Cut them out and arrange them on the card. Glue the bottom layer into place with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue and add the rest with 3d foam pads.
Tie a triple bow with white seam binding. Spritz with water and scrumple up. Dry with a heat gun. Very gently, apply Picked Raspberry Ink. Glue into place and add a Dazzler to the centre.
Stamp the "Happy Birthday" sentiment which comes in the Earthenware Vase set onto Coconut White Card. To do this, mask off one word at a time so that you can stamp Birthday under the Happy.
Die cut the sentiment using Spellbinder Labels H Dies. With the die still in place, apply Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.
Draw around the outer edge of the die onto Raspberry Card and cut out. Matt and layer. Use 3d foam pads to stick it on the card.
To finish, apply some Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Sparkle Texture Paste to the flowers using a cotton bud.
And here's the finished project! Something that would brighten anyone's day!
Well, I promised a photo of the new storage in my studio and this time, I'm determined to keep it tidy!!
I'm hoping I can find a group for addicts of paper, card and ribbon as I appear to have a serious problem! I'm too ashamed to show the unit with all the ribbons in and I managed to cut off most of the bottom row on this photo that has my "good" papers housed in it!

Good Morning All, back again with another project for Creative Expressions to share with you. The "Golden Wonder" doesn't refer to crisps, but rather to the fact that I got carried away with the Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold Embossing Powder!
Anyway, here's the step by step.
Ink up the Ivy Corner Singles Stamp with Perfect Medium and stamp onto Foundations Mocha Cardstock in 2 corners. Heat emboss with Bright Gold Powder.
Use a pair of scissors to distress the edges.
Dry emboss with the A4 Sea Garden Embossing Folder.
Go over raised areas and the edges with Vintage Golden Green Gilding Wax.
Cut a piece of Dark Roast Coffee Foundations Card to size, distress with scissors then matt and layer. Glue onto a card blank made with Foundations Milk Card.
Cut 2 Spellbinder Scalloped Circles Large, 1 from Milk card and the other from the Dark Roast Coffee.
Cut a Spellbinder Standard Circle Small from the Mocha Card.
Ink up the Botanical Spray Singles Stamp with Perfect Medium and stamp over the Standard Circle. Heat emboss with Bright Gold Powder.
Rub some of the Gilding Wax around the edges of the Scalloped Circles them matt and layer.
Stamp a sheet of Milk Card with the Botanical Spray and heat emboss as before.
Cut flowers out using Spellbinder Spiral Blossom 3 and make up into 3d flowers. Add Gilding Wax to the tips of the flowers.
Die cut leaves from the Foliage Spellbinders set from the same piece of card. With the die still in place, add some Gilding Wax.
Arrange onto the card and glue into place.
And there's the finished project!
It's really rich and textured and would make a great Golden Wedding Anniversary Card. I hope you like it.

I've been lucky enough to be sent 2 of the new Singles range of stamps to play with this month as well as some of the new Cosmic Shimmer Misters.....I do love being on the Design Team for Creative Expressions!
This week I thought I'd combine the 2 stamps for this card. So without further ado, let's begin!
Ink up the Ivy Corner stamp with Perfect Medium and stamp onto Coconut White Card. Heat emboss with Clear Powder.
Spritz the Cosmic Shimmer Aqua Breeze Ink Spray Mist all over. Dry then use a wet wipe to smear the ink around (as well as lifting it from the embossed image).
Spritz the mister onto a craft sheet and ink up the same stamp with it. Stamp onto the card and blot to dry.
Spray some water onto your hand and flick water droplets onto the card. Blot again to dry.
Distress the edges of the card with scissors then go around the edges with Seedless Preserve Distress Ink.
Dry emboss with the A4 Sea Garden Embossing Folder. Highlight the raised areas with Seedless Preserve Ink.
Ink up the Botanical Spray stamp with Perfect Medium and stamp onto Coconut White card 3 times. Heat emboss with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Powder. Spray some Aqua Breeze Mister onto a craft sheet and pick up the ink with Cut 'n Dry foam. Dab over the stamped image.
Emboss again with the Sea Garden A4 Folder. Distress with Seedless Preserve Ink.
Die cut using Spellbinder Labels H in 3 different sizes to create a Pyrimage effect. Draw around the largest of the dies used on black card and cut out to create a matt. Matching the patterns up, put together with 3d pads.
There will be 2 leftover frames, glue these onto the card for added interest and texture.
Glue the 3d element onto the card.
Die cut 3 Butterflies using Spellbinder Les Papillons 2 from Coconut White card, shape and glue into place. Add a 3mm black pearl to the bodies of the butterflies.
And we're finished!

As it's Tuesday, it can only mean one thing, and that's Design Team day for Creative Expressions. This week I've come up with a design using two of the new Singles range of stamps. They are called "Engraved Elegance" and "Scented Corner".
Start by applying Flake and Glitter Glue to the Scented Corner stamp. Stamp it in 2 corners of a piece of Coconut White card that has been trimmed to size. Apply Summer Meadow Gilding Flakes.
Dry Emboss with the Vintage Plumes Embossing Folder.
Ink up the Engraved Elegance Perfume Bottle with Perfect Medium and stamp onto a piece of Coconut White card. Heat emboss with Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold Powder.
Using Spun Sugar Distress Ink, edge the embossed piece of card and the card with the perfume bottle on. Use the same ink to make a watercolour and paint the perfume bottle.
Matt and layer onto Black Foundation Cardstock.
Tie a double bow with Dusky Pink Sheer Wrinkled Edge Ribbon.
Take a clear Dazzler, cover it with Perfect Medium Ink and heat emboss with Cosmic Shimmer True White Powder to change it's colour.
Stick the stamped image onto the card with 3d foam pads. Attach the ribbon and the Dazzler with dry glue dots.
It's not my usual style (I'm not known for "girly" designs!) but it does look pretty and would make a great Mother's Day card. I hope you like it!
